| Napoleon Charbonneau is captured by the Apaches, they accuse him of "stealing their shadows". Winnetou doesn't remember him, but a photograph convinces Winnetou that Charbonneau saved his live. Winnetou tries to convince Yaqui, and enemy of all white people, to release his friends.
Een fight to the death will decide whether the prisoner will live or die. Tashunko has to fight blindfolded with a young Apache warrior named Chihuahua. The fight ends in a tie when both warriors are knocked out, and Yaqui decides to set the prisoners free and drops his plan to attack the white soldiers fort.
The Chiricihuas are leaving. Once more Yaqui looks at the young lad with the red hair: white or Indian? He takes off his bandanna and gives it to Peter. Vincent has a lot of admiration for this mix of primitivity and generosity. |
