| Chief Wolftooth, the father of Wetatoni, invites Winnetou to join the council of the eldest to explain what has happened. Meanwhile Tashunko takes the horses to the river where he meets Winona, Wetatoni's sister, and they fall in love.
Because everone still thinks that Old Bear is dead, the council declares that they hate all white people, especially Hehaka Pa, husband of Hehaka Win. He is a ruthless soldier and he has a violent group of followers.
White people are checking out the village, they want to build a railway. Would they really cross the holy mountaintops that surround the village? Colonel Stevens explains to the young Fowler (representative of the railway company) that he plans to let the railway run through the village. He plans to "buy" the land with gifts and alcohol. |
